HS HOTSSON Hotel Tampico

I loved this hotel. The right price, delicious food cooked to perfection. I loved that there was security at the entrance of parking lot. Made me feel very safe and not worried about my vehicle not being safe. I loved that there was a lot if things in walking distance so If I wanted to go walking around and site see, I could. I loved the fact that the sliding doors open up to the courtyard and I had instant access to the pool. I THOUGHT THAT WAS AMAZING!!!! Over all I loved this place and will be visiting it more often. It is now at the top five of favorite places to go.

I’ve stayed at this hotel over the years, and I feel that the rooms are starting to show their wear and tear. Floors use to be a carpet and now they’re a cheap vinyl/wood material. The door for my restroom always got stuck and the clothes hanger tube fell as soon as I hung my clothes. It’s sad to see this was a high end hotel, and now I feel that for my next visit I need to find someplace else. However service was great, breakfast was delicious and location is undisputed with the rest.

Tried the breakfast buffet. The service was excellent (thank you Lupita) but not much variety in regards to fresh fruit, yogurt or juices. Pleasant atmosphere and the cheese empanadas from the bakery section are a must try .

I finally found a place to drop in and have a very good martini. Though they were happy to let me park in front, visitor parking appears to be in the garage around the corner. Next time I need to find out if they validate.

It is located at a place with a lot of traffic and the car entrance is pretty small and the parking lot is small. It is far from the turistic area, you have to use your car or a taxi. The room was excelent and the bathroom incredible. The service excellent. From now on, I will look for a hotel Hotsson first.

There are very few 5 star hotels in Tampico, and HOTSSON is too outdated for real 5 stars. It’s OK overall for a few nights, but rooms are too tired and inconvenient for real 5 stars, it’s 3,5 at best Aircon is a bit loud (but efficient), bath/sink were super small and inconvenient, not enough power plugs and all of the local standards only, doors were not sound proof at all, plus cleaning standards were really low. WiFi in my room was great, though. And bed was quite nice. Breakfast was too local, and inefficient (why asking room number twice?), they were forgetting about orders, only pastry with cheese were fantastic. Few excellent restaurants right nearby

We were a group of five and stayed here for several nights. Our experience was fantastic, the staff was attentive to detail and very welcoming. We experienced some booking issues with a taxi for a beach trip but Hotssen made their best to make accommodations and made it happen! If you’re planning on staying more than a night I would definitely recommend paying for the breakfast included. When we least thought we would need it we ended up needing services from their on call doctor which is one of the things they offer as part of the hotel service. Definitely would recommend best hotel in this area!

Beautiful hotel. The gardens are beautiful and quiet. The poolside service is great and the food is excellent. Housekeeping does a wonderful job, the towels are big and fluffy, the beds are comfortable. The coffee shop at the front is a great addition.
